VAB
is managed by a fully volunteer Board of Directors elected for a period
of two years at the Annual Meetings. VAB officials comprise a President,
Secretary and Treasurer, all from volunteer Directors, elected by the
Board every two years. The terms of both the Directors and the officials
are renewable based on mutual discussions. There are provisions in the
Bylaws for the Board of Directors to be supported by two other Boards,
namely a Board of Advisors and a Board of Patrons. Although we have some
Advisors and Patrons, these Boards have not yet been organized as VAB
operations are still in early stages. However, VAB has recruited several
Associates and ad hoc volunteers to carry on ongoing specific activities
like, editing, book keeping, fundraising etc
VAB
Management in US is 100 percent voluntary with an overhead of only two
percent of its receipt. Its operations are decentralized to volunteers
located in several cities. VAB issues monthly bulletins through e-mails
and publishes annual report and three Newsletters a year. VAB accounts
are audited and submits tax return to IRS.
VAB
caries out it all its activities in Bangladesh except computer literacy
program through its own staff under the direction of its Country
Representative and with guidance from local Advisory and Executive
Boards. VAB also engages volunteer university students in its program
operations. VAB funds are transferred through Bank and fund expenditures
are audited annually.
